APA Insurance Kenya is part of the Apollo Investments Limited along with APA Insurance Uganda.
The Apollo Group consists of Apollo Life Assurance that offers life insurance and pensions business. It also includes the well-known Apollo Asset Management, a power house in the asset and wealth management business in Kenya. Apollo Asset Management provides a range of investment products for the public including unit trusts, money market funds and more.

APA offers all lines of insurance, general, medical and life. It has one of the most affordable medical and health insurance in Kenya called the Afya Nafuu. It is a comprehensive medical insurance product for the economy market, it covers both in patient and outpatient and have arguably the best panel of medical providers among other economy products. In addition, it also has a medium to high end health insurance cover featuring a wider panel of providers both locally and overseas. APA Insurance also offers specialised medical cover products, that provide benefits to members who are hospitalised. The HOSICARE product provides members with a daily cash benefit while in hospital and also covers expenses for funeral and burial.

APA is known widely in Kenya for paying the largest ever single claim for the Jomo Kenyan International Airport (JKIA) fire in August, 2013 totalling to KSh 2 billion. It has since used this in its branding and marketing campaigns nationwide.
